Tall Oil-derived Solvent for High Formulation Flexibility in Low-VOC Lithographic Ink Systems
VALIFLEX BT 100.04 is a butyl ester solvent, derived from tall oil. It is used in low-VOC lithographic ink systems. In vegetable oil ink systems, the product reduces viscosity and tack further than would be possible with just oils. The low volatility and low molecular weight allow replacement of mineral oils for fast-setting inks. Tall oil-derived ester solvents are designed to provide the ink maker with the highest formulation flexibility and offer a low product carbon footprint. The product is ideal to obtain low-VOC coatings with high gloss and good rub resistance.
