Molybdenum Octoate as Refinery Catalyst and More
Our VALIREX molybdenum octoate catalyst is a high-performance, high-concentration metal carboxylate designed for upgrading vacuum residues derived from oil refining/petrochemical refineries ('bottom of the barrel' technology). Additionally, it functions as a pre-catalyst in hydrocracking processes to reduce the sulfur content and related emissions of heavy fuels, such as marine fuel.
VALIREX molybdenum octoate is also renowned as a catalyst for olefin epoxidation processes, and as such, it is commonly used in propylene oxide/styrene monomer (PO/SM) and propylene oxide/tert-butyl alcohol (PO/tBA) production processes.
