Bismuth Hydroxystearate - VALIKAT Bi 9 HSA

Low-toxic Bismuth-based Catalyst with 9% Metal Content

VALIKAT Bi 9 HSA is a bismuth-based metal carboxylate with 9% Bi content. The product is mainly used as a catalyst in polyurethane applications, accelerating the urethane reaction (i.e., the reaction between the isocyanate and polyol). The product is fit for low-VOC applications. Compared to other, traditional, metal-based catalysts, such as lead- and mercury-based products, or organotin compounds such as DiButylTin DiLaurate polyurethane catalysts (DBTL), it offers a sustainable alternative thanks to its low toxicity and environmentally friendly nature.
